Who?
My name would be Mick! I'm a geek, 33 from Glenroy in Victoria, Australia.

Computers
As a hobby, I first started with a Commodore VIC-20 way back in 1983. Today I use x86/x64 based machines running FreeBSD or GNU Linux in both my personal and professional life.

I offer my skills for hire, short and long term as a allround computer and communications technician, systems administrator with a 10+ years experience in Linux/BSD (VoIP, Asterisk, qmail, etc) and some selected web design including e-commerce. Feel free to contact myself with any inquiries.

Computers, Volunteer work
As a coder, I have been in and out of many open-source project. Of late, as the founder/devloper of Radio over Asterisk. Also I try to put in some time at Computerbank Victoria who recycle donated computers and distributes them to disadvantaged individuals and community groups using open-source software.

Electronics and Communications
I have been in the hobby of electronics for over 20 years now. Start out in 1985 with the "30 in One project board" sold by Tandy (Radio Shack). By 1999, I found myself at TAFE for a diploma in the subject.

In 2007, I started coding the Radio over Asterisk (RoA) software, the same year I started a project based around RoA and CB called PRAIL.

Anything with wheels and somethings without!
I have an interest for anything that is off-road, so 4 wheel driving, motor bike's, cross-country, free-ride and down-hill bike's, are all good fun.

First cornor at the Vic Title's

I race 1/10th scale R/C (Radio Control) off/on-road car's on a local, state and national level! I really must say, it's a fast and skillful sport with lots of fun to be had, for big kid's at heart like me.
